The Inn at Smith Cove is located on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire's largest lake, which offers four season amenities. In the spring and summer months, you will enjoy our gazebo overlooking the lake and every water sport imaginable. The mountains surrounding the lake that provide such wonderful views during the summer months, become great ski areas during the winter.

For your dining convenience, there are two restaurants located within walking distance that offers Inn guests a discount for both lunch and dinner.

Spring & Summer:

We have our own private beach and boat slips with free boat launching. There are two boat yards nearby if you would like to rent your own boat for a half day or the entire length of your stay. Fishing is also very popular. Licenses are required and available at most of the local stores.

Fall:

The spectacle of nature's own brilliant show of colors will be easily enjoyed on the property or at nearby hiking areas which are free of charge.

Winter:

The winter months bring the opportunity for ice fishing and skiing, both downhill and cross country are available at Gunstock Ski Area right here in Gilford. We'll be glad to provide snowmobilers with all the information needed to arrange for your snowmobile rental, but don't forget, only the machines are available for rent. You will have to bring your own helmets and warm clothing.
